What do you think about the Palomares Hills Area in Castro Valley? I have been looking to buy a home there now. Prices have really come down recently and it seems like a great opportunity. There are places in the area that are older but Shapell has also built some newer homes less than 10 years old. They have even made their own elementary school. I believe there are over 1000 homes in that 1 area. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is that the area is a little tucked away from everything in downtown Castro Valley and the boulevard.
