Homemade soaps are wonderful for your skin
What’s interesting about homemade soaps is that the process of homemade soap making can leave you with an entirely different product that what you can buy in stores. Let’s look at Ivory soap, for example. Ivory soap, like most commercial soaps, remove the glycerin from the soap after the lye saponifies. Glycerin is a natural by-product of soap making and helps traps moisture from the air in your skin. Companies like the ones who make Ivory Soap remove the glycerin from their soaps and sell it separately as an expensive cosmetic product whereas homemade soaps still contain all their natural glycerin.
