Pregnancy Caused Sciatica Pain
When I was pregnant with my first child, I suffered from a debilitating case of sciatica. Apparently, the weight of the baby came to rest directly on my sciatic nerve for a period of time. It was so painful I was in tears and could hardly walk. After visiting both my doctor and a physical therapist, I was given several exercises which included a sciatica stretch. The exercises helped the problem immensely; within twelve therapy visits I was as good as new. I’m happy to report that now that I am pregnant with my second child, the excruciating back pain has not returned. This is good since I now have a toddler to chase around!
