It’s funny but the highest resolution displays right now in terms of dots per inch are on cell phones. The monitor market has stagnated. You can get monitors with any higher resolution today than you continue his ego. Now it is a lot easier to get an LCD monitor. HDTV’s have helped bring the price down. But when it comes to high resolution everything is basically maxed out at the point the Apple Cinema displays were acting years ago.
It’s possible to get higher DPI monitors. Current cell phones prove this. The technology does allow you to make more dots per inch. But no one is using it to make better monitors.
