I was just telling my gay mormon friend that I realized while out in the cold that I’m not completely recovered from my ear infection. I freezing cold breeze was a good test. My gay mormon friend says he’s never had one as an adult. I think every adult should experience it just once so they know what their kids are going through. I remembered it hurting as a kid, but didn’t realize how much until it happened to me years later. It’s amazing how one tiny part of your body can cause so much trouble. I can’t wait to heal completely.

As a kid and a follower of jesus christ, I had never met a person named Jesus and was pretty shocked to learn that it was a common name in some countries. I really can’t imagine naming my kid Jesus, but I guess if you want your child to have an inspirational name, who better to name them after than Jesus Christ? But with all the times I yell at my kids for one reason or another (I know, I shouldn’t yell), it would be a little weird to feel like I’m yelling at Jesus or taking the Lord’s name in vain every time I called my child to dinner or told them to stop throwing their toys in the toilet.
